HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!

I hope everyone has a happy and safe July 4th holiday, for those who celebrate it.

I posted some screencaps of Daniel and Y&R castmate Joshua Morrow's guest appearance on THE PRICE IS RIGHT, from 6/1/09. There is also a photo gallery posted to the CBS website.

NOW PLAYING ON YOUTUBE

Daniel's short film, THESE BOOTS ARE MADE FOR WALKEN, was recently posted to YouTube in three parts. This film has won many awards, including one for outstanding acting. After seeing the entire film, I can see why. Daniel gives a fine performance here, in this 24 minute comedy. Interesting side note; the director, Jeremy Pack, makes a cameo appearance (uncredited) as a policeman.

THE PERFECT SLEEP - SCREENCAPS, PART ONE

One of Daniel's indie movie projects, THE PERFECT SLEEP, came out on DVD this past week. DG had a very small part in this film, playing Sergei, a Russian mobster. I loved the accent, and Daniel looked divine throughout his two minutes of screen time!

Y&R - CANE AND LILY'S HONEYMOON, PART ONE

Now we get to the good stuff - some shirtless Daniel. I made high definition screencaps this time, and I must say, I'm really pleased with the results.

Y&R: LILY AND CANE GET MARRIED

Lily and Cane finally tied the knot, on the 5/15/09 episode of Y&R. I found a few photo galleries posted online from this event. The first one is on the CBS website. The official Y&R site has three (!) wedding related galleries posted. The first gallery covers the night before the wedding. The second gallery covers the actual wedding and the third gallery features the reception. Wow, that's a lot of pics!

Daniel is tentatively scheduled to appear on the Olivia Wilder show, on BlogTalk Radio, this coming Monday, 6/8/09. I say "tentatively", because these things seem to get rescheduled quite often. Click here for more details.

Y&R: CANE AND LILY'S PHOTOSHOOT

Daniel and Cristel Khalil did a photoshoot for Y&R's fictitious "Restless Style" magazine, on the 5/11/09 episode. The look was inspired by the Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt photos that were done for "W" magazine. In addition to my screencap gallery, you can see photos from the shoot here, and a photo gallery here.

TINKERBELL PREMIERE

Daniel and his family attended the DVD launch/premiere of TINKERBELL, at the El Capitan Theater, in Hollywood, California, on October 19, 2008. Thanks to Likey and Tatiana for some of the pictures.

I posted side by side pics of Ford, and Daniel at age 23, below, so you can see the resemblance between father and son.

"TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL PARK"...

Daniel will be a special guest of the Toledo Mud Hens baseball team, for their annual Mother's Day promotion, on 5/10/09. Details and ticket information can be found on their website. I wonder if Daniel will get to throw the first pitch?

The Mud Hens are a triple-A professional baseball team, for the northwest Ohio, and southeast Michigan area.

LOUISVILLE APPEARANCE

Daniel will be appearing at the Louisville Auto Show, this Saturday 2/21/09, from 1pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Wow, that's a lot longer than most personal appearances! Details can be found here. I found the banner on their website.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, BABY!!

Today marks the 2nd anniversary of Daniel's first appearance on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. It's also the 2nd anniversary of "Daniel Goddard Scrapbook". I can't think of a better way to celebrate, than to post some shirtless screencaps of the DG man himself, along with Y&R castmate Billy Miller.

SANTA PARADE REVISITED

Since it's getting to be holiday time, I figured now would be a good time to return to the subject of Daniel's appearance in the 2007 Hollywood Santa Parade. Firstly, I took down the poor quality screencaps that I used in my original post from 1/1/08, and replaced them with some high quality ones. You can see them here. Secondly, I put up some photos of DG and Y&R castmate Kate Linder with this post.

PEOPLE magazine recently came out with their "Sexiest Man Alive" issue, and Daniel was omitted yet again. When are those people at PEOPLE going to get with the program? (*grrr*) You'd think they would have gotten a clue after TV Guide named him the sexiest man in soaps.

Now for some good news. Has anyone noticed that Daniel's picture is shown on the CBS home page? It's at the bottom, right next to the pic of David Letterman. I'm so proud. (*grin*)

BREAKING NEWS!!

Daniel's indie movie, KISS OF THE VAMPIRE (formerly known as IMMORTALLY YOURS) is FINALLY being released on DVD, on January 6, 2009!!! I know a lot of people are excited about seeing this movie, including me. I found listings for the movie on both the Amazon and Best Buy websites. Cover art for the film has been changed, yet again. See below.

Y&R CELEBRATES 9,000 Episodes

The Y&R folks recently had a party on set, to celebrate this major milestone. Wow, that's 35 years on the air! There are some cute pics and a video of Daniel and the cast, posted to the official Y&R website. There is a better version of the video posted to the CBS website.

ONE LUCKY FAN

Some people have all the luck. One such person is Carolyn, my long time message board friend, and fellow Daniel fan. Carolyn has had the good fortune of meeting Daniel on three separate occasions over the years, and while a lot of fans have met DG more than once, Carolyn had a unique experience on one of those occasions which she shared with only one other person.

The first time Carolyn met Daniel was at the 2003 San Diego ComicCon. Daniel was there to promote the release of the BEASTMASTER TV series on DVD. This was Daniel's first-ever fan meet and greet. The next time they met was later that year, in November (I believe), when DG was in Toronto to film his guest appearance on the WILDCARD series. Carolyn and Bonnie, another message board friend of mine, got to visit Daniel on the set! Not only did they get to watch Daniel film the eppie, but they also had lunch with him during the break.

Most recently, Carolyn and Bonnie attended the meet and greet at the Sears store in Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada, on 9/20/08. Carolyn told me in advance that she thought it would be a lot more crowded than the last time they met DG, and she was right, the place was mobbed!

Luckily for us, Carolyn took lots of pictures, which I posted behind the link. Thanks for the pics, Carolyn!! That's her in the picture below:

DANIEL TALKS TO OLIVIA

Guess what? I got to talk to Daniel on the phone, during his appearance on the Olivia Wilder radio show last Thursday night!! Daniel told me he's "seen the DG-Scrapbook website...and I really appreciate it." It was awesome, and I'm never going to wash that ear again - LOL!! I've embedded a widget in this post, in case you missed the show. I'm on at around the 71 minute mark.

I'm afraid that there's bad news about the BEASTMASTER - COMPLETE COLLECTION DVD sets that came out in August. According to what I read, the set was recalled soon after release, due to licensing issues. I'm wondering if the recall has more to do with the fact that the back cover of the set lists the lead actor as "Mark" Goddard. (*giggle*)
